Sally Chung is a design leader, educator, and start-up advisor based in New York City.

Sally recently launched Designpreneurs & Co., through which she delivers end-to-end design and product development services to a range of clients. Sally brings a human-centered approach to the earliest stages of product development & consulting, when the problems (and solutions) are at their vaguest. Through a disciplined process of UX research & strategy, feature development, and product market fit validation, she transforms early-stage business problems into live product solutions within months.

Passionate about educating the next generation of designers, Sally teaches interaction design at the Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts in Master’s & Bachelor’s programs.

Active in the design & start-up community, Sally founded and leads the Designpreneurs Hackathon to help start-up founders validate product-market fit over the weekend and for the design students to gain experiences. (This idea originally started to help her design students quickly build a design portfolio over the weekend.)

She also serves as a judge for the One Club for Creativity awards, and NYU's $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge, and is a global mentor for the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator in New York.

Sally was previously the lead of experience design at BCG.X, the tech design and build unit of the Boston Consulting Group. At BCG, Sally launched 12 new digital businesses for Fortune 500 clients spanning healthcare, financial services, insurance, energy, and consumer goods.

Earlier in her career, Sally co-founded HelloAva, an AI-powered beauty chatbot featured in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes, and created Saks Fifth Avenue’s first mobile and social media experiences as a founding member of the digital team.

Most recent speaking and panel engagements include Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship’s $300K challenge, the Korean start-up forum, the Asian Creative Festival, One League, etc.
